A great success has been achieved by the components of the 'Jacinto Guerrero' Choir this Saturday, June 11, with their interpretation of the Corpus Christi concert in Toledo Cathedral, where they have been accompanied by the 'Fuoco Sinfónica' orchestra, and in which , directed by Bauti Carmena, have premiered the 'Misa Lauda Sion', by Jesús Alberto Luna, composer from Toledo and member of the choir.

A great success has been achieved by the components of the 'Jacinto Guerrero' Choir this Saturday, June 11, with their interpretation of the Corpus Christi concert in Toledo Cathedral, where they have been accompanied by the 'Fuoco Sinfónica' orchestra, and in which , directed by Bauti Carmena, have premiered the 'Misa Lauda Sion', by Jesús Alberto Luna, composer from Toledo and member of the choir.

The 'Lauda Sion Salvatorem' constitutes a sequence of the Corpus Christi office and mass prepared by Saint Thomas Aquinas after the establishment of the festivity in the year 1264. The work performed this Saturday is made up of a motet as an introit, Lauda Sion Salvatorem, and the ordinary of the mass, made up of the works Kyrie Eleison, Gloria in Excelsis Deo, Sanctus et benedictus and Agnus Dei, and is dedicated to the recently deceased contralto of the choir Irene Aguilar.

In the majestic setting of the cathedral of Toledo, the interpretation of the Lauda Sion mass has made the public that filled the space of the retrochoir, in front of the Puerta del Perdón, vibrate. Those present gave the composer a standing ovation at the end of the performance.
