Special service of beaches and new night schedules of the buses of the EMT of Valencia

The Municipal Transport Company (EMT) of Valencia will start next Saturday, June 11, its special beach service with reinforcements in the lines that connect with the maritime strip of the city and the metropolitan area.

Thus, users will be able to use lines 15, 18, 23, 31, 32, 92, 95 and 98 to enjoy the beach during the day, and lines 19, 24, 25, 93 and 99 24 hours a day, both day and night.

The increase in supply on these lines will be progressively reinforced with the arrival of the high summer season to adapt to the mobility needs of users, explains the municipal company in a statement.

For example, as of June 27, line 25 will reinforce its service to offer better frequencies of buses to El Perellonet and El Perelló.

The special beach service, which will last until the end of August, also contemplates extensions from June 11 on the itineraries of lines 18, 24, 92, 95 and 98 to reach the beach area.

Specifically, line 18 will extend its route along Tarongers avenue to Eugenia Viñes street and line 24 will enter El Saler beach to facilitate access for users.

Line 92 will also extend its usual itinerary to the promenade and line 95 to the Marina to offer service in Eugenia Viñes.

In addition, line 98 will carry out its weekend itinerary every day to connect with the promenade every day.

In addition, the new line 23, which will come into operation on June 15, will create a new connection for the residents of El Forn d'Alcedo, Castellar-L'Oliveral and Pinedo. In this way, mobility to Pinedo beach from the southern towns will be facilitated.

The president of the EMT, councilor Giuseppe Grezzi, has highlighted that "this summer the municipal buses are once again the best option to enjoy our coast, both during the day and at night".

Extended hours, better frequencies and night service will be offered to new areas to facilitate sustainable mobility towards the beaches. In addition, he commented that as of this Friday the EMT will launch an extensive information device on the seafront and in the city center to explain in detail to the public all these improvements for the summer season.

For the first time, the night service will be extended to the beaches of the towns of Valencia and its metropolitan area with the start-up of the new night network on June 15. Specifically, lines 19, 24, 25, 93 and 99 will offer an uninterrupted service day and night to go to the beaches.

In this way, this summer the towns of Pinedo, El Palmar, El Saler, El Perellonet and El Perelló will launch night service with their usual lines, 24 and 25.

“Undoubtedly, the 24-hour lines represent a great improvement for all the residents of the southern towns and will make it possible to boost tourism, the leisure and restaurant sectors in towns such as Pinedo, El Saler, El Palmar, El Perellonet or El Perelló”, added Grezzi.
