The senator of the PP for León, Antonio Silván, has referred this Monday -without specifying- to the information published in recent weeks about the practices of the provincial president and senator, Javier Santiago Vélez, during the 2019 electoral process, and has shown his "deepest conviction and certainty that the party's national and regional leadership will not overlook any irregularity that affects the party's good name and government."

«I understand and share the indignation that many supporters and organic positions of the party have, but above personal interests there is the common objective that is none other than that of supporting the leadership of the Popular Party to face together the political change that the Spaniards us request," he added.

In a statement, it points out that "it is time to be more united than ever with the certainty that the corresponding internal organs of the party will know how to respond to those attitudes, irregularities or those issues that are contrary to ethics and good political practices that affect to the good name of the party, to the good work of all the members and to the honorability of carrying out a worthy and necessary activity such as political activity.
