Segonzac: Solidarity Ukraine is a huge success for Claire Champagne high school students

Segonzac's 3rd Class of Claire Champagne High School was affected by one of their classmates. After the invasion of Ukraine, his grandparents fled Kiev to seek refuge in France. This family had to leave everything and the class wanted to help them.

They decided to raise funds after thinking about solidarity actions. They set up a pancake and cake sale at Mainxe-Gondeville's Tambourinour Market. The 3rd-year students prepared crepes and cakes during the catering. They were assisted by the Sapat (Service to People) second class. They were supervised by Mrs. Landry, and Mrs. Weber and spent Friday afternoon at the market. It was a huge success!

The collection was completed by two donations. On Wednesday, May 25, the family received a check for 483 euro. They can be proud of their students! The director and teachers can be proud of them," he or she said.
