As I write these lines on the bridge of "Humanity 1", the ship is fighting its way west. Not fast because of the headwind, but with a certain stubbornness, if I do say so myself. The waves of the Mediterranean Sea, deep blue today, carry foaming spray. Four weeks ago that would have made me seasick, but my body has gotten used to the swaying. The captain enters a wave height of two meters in the logbook, then he ends his shift and hands over to the second officer for the next few hours.
