There is something martial about the grounds of Rzeszów Airport: Where there are bollards or signal lights at other airports, anti-aircraft guns in Rzeszów tower into the gray February sky. Raised at an angle from the vehicle, all in one direction, in military camouflage colors and in several rows in a row. It's a clear sign for any visitor: the city in south-eastern Poland, just a few tens of kilometers from the Ukrainian border, is ready to defend itself should Russia decide to expand its attacks on Ukraine beyond the border.
