An 86-year-old pedestrian was hit by a van in Waldems in the Rheingau-Taunus district and fatally injured. The woman died from her injuries in hospital on Thursday, police said. Accordingly, she wanted to run across the street on Thursday afternoon after getting off a bus. She was hit by the vehicle of the 42-year-old van driver who wanted to overtake the bus in the opposite lane.
