Most Interrail tickets were therefore sold in Germany, namely 142,000 pieces. In second place is Switzerland with 94,000 tickets sold, followed by England with 63,000 tickets sold.

The most popular destination countries for German Interrail travelers in the first half of 2022 were France, Italy and Spain. Around 70 percent of Interrailers from Germany are teenagers and young adults under the age of 27.
