The component manufacturer Grupo Antolin has appointed Ramón Sotomayor Jáuregui as its new CEO, who has been the company's advisory director for the last four years, replacing Jesús Pascual, who held the position since 2015 and who will leave all his executive functions, but will continue to be linked to the company as an advisor.

According to a statement, Sotomayor will be responsible for giving a new impetus to the transformation process of Grupo Antolin and must update the business strategy initiated a few years ago, with the aim of consolidating the company as a global provider of technological solutions within the vehicle improving its competitive position.

"All together we are going to promote and accelerate the transformation of our business, taking advantage of the change towards the new mobility that the industry is experiencing. Antolin is a successful company and we want to write a new chapter in that history, being more competitive every day and offering the better products to our customers", Sotomayor pointed out.

For his part, the chairman of the company, Ernesto Antolin, stressed that the new CEO has the training, leadership skills and management experience necessary to lead this new stage.

The new CEO, who is an industrial engineer from the University of Portsmouth (United Kingdom) and has an MBA from Rutgers University (United States), began his professional career at Ercros Spain and later joined ThyssenKrupp, where he held various positions of responsibility, including CEO for the EMEA region (Southern Europe, Africa and the Middle East).

Since 2017, he was a member of the advisory board of Grupo Antolin, where he was also part of its Appointments and Remuneration Committee. Currently, he is also an independent director and chairman of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee of Velatia and a member of the board of directors of Grupo Lantero and Levantina y Asociados de Minerales. In addition, he is part of the advisory board of ABE Capital Partners and Sidenor.
