The detainee is being investigated for a crime of murder, according to sources from the Superior Court of Castilla y León.

The detainee and the victim, both of Venezuelan nationality, have been a couple for six months and she leaves an eight-year-old girl, who was in the room of the home at the time of the events when the first attacked the deceased in the kitchen armed with a knife.

There had been no previous complaints between the two of ill-treatment.

The daughter is from a previous relationship with the woman and has been left in charge of her family.

The event occurred around 2:00 a.m. at the home, where the alleged perpetrator attacked the victim with a domestic knife that has been seized and later fled.

An uncle of the deceased, who was in the house, notified another relative who went out into the street and found a National Police patrol that was carrying out a service and immediately went to the scene.

The author was quickly intercepted and detained by the National Police, without offering any resistance and for the time being he has not confessed the facts.

There was no background or record of any type of complaint and the victim was not within the Viogén system, explained the Government delegate, Virginia Barcones.
