The Chemnitz criminal police are investigating three trainees from the Saxony police for statements and actions related to National Socialism. The background to this was an internal tip from witnesses from the Schneeberg Police College (Erzgebirge district), the police college in Schneeberg announced on Friday. According to this, two 20-year-olds and a 22-year-old man are said to have made various statements and actions related to National Socialism in an official and private context.

Police chief Carsten Kaempf said there was no tolerance whatsoever for police officers who glorified National Socialist ideas. "Should the allegations be confirmed after the investigation is complete, the suspects will have to take full responsibility." There is no place for right-wing ideas in the Saxon police force.

The three young men are said to live in the Erzgebirge district and began a two-and-a-half-year apprenticeship at the police school in September 2021. You were initially banned from conducting official business. In addition, they are not allowed to take part in the training for the time being. From a service point of view, they are threatened with dismissal.
