A man was found dead in a fire in a family home in Schönberg in the Plön district. It is still unclear whether it is the owner of the house, said a fire department spokesman on Sunday evening. When the emergency services arrived in the afternoon, an apartment on the top floor was on fire and one person was missing. The man was then rescued from the attic - lifeless. Around 90 forces were involved in the difficult operation at temperatures well below freezing, it was said.
