The East German transmission system operator 50Hertz will continue to be headed by Stefan Kapferer. The supervisory board confirmed Kapferer on Monday as CEO for a further five years until the end of November 2028, as the company announced on Tuesday. Kapferer has been managing the transmission system operator for the eastern German non-city states, Berlin and Hamburg since December 2019.
