One person was killed and three others injured in southwestern Russia after shelling from Ukraine, the Russian governor of the affected region announced on Wednesday.

He said the situation was "the most difficult" in his region since Russian President Vladimir Putin sent troops to Ukraine on February 24.
Mr. Gladkov accused Ukraine of having targeted the village of Solokhi, specifying that a house had been partly destroyed.
Authorities in Ukraine's border regions regularly accuse kyiv forces of launching attacks against Russia.
In April, Mr Gladkov accused Ukrainian helicopters of attacking a fuel depot in Belgorod.
