Olympia 1972: widow of murdered fencing coach: "Never did anyone say to us: I'm sorry"

Can money heal the wounds of 1972? No, money can't give me back my husband. Look, I'm 76 years old. I don't need a diamond ring anymore, believe me. Money will not change our children's lives or make them easier either. I just want our children, the 14 children of the Munich victims, to finally be able to breathe again. No father came to them when they started school, when they graduated from high school, or when they got married. There was no breadwinner for them, no one to earn the money. I had to fight for her all these years. And that also meant: I had to fight against German ignorance. So my kids don't have to start over. So they don't have to fight like me.
