The Italian cyclist Stefano Oldani (Alpecin-Fenix) achieved victory in the twelfth stage of the Giro d'Italia, starting in Parma and finishing in Genoa after 204 kilometres, being the strongest in 'the breakaway' in a long day a fast march in which the main peloton reached more than 9 minutes, with the Spanish 'Juanpe' López (Trek-Segafredo) still leading.
