A mobile chicken grill caught fire on the A10 towards Hamburg. The 56-year-old driver of the grill car noticed smoke from his vehicle between Oranienburg and Oberkrämer in the Oberhavel district, the police said on Wednesday morning. The driver then just managed to park the vehicle on the hard shoulder and exit before the grill car caught fire. The 56-year-old suffered minor injuries and had to be taken to a hospital.

The A10 had to be completely closed for 40 minutes on Tuesday evening due to extinguishing work. The property damage is around 50,000 euros. The cause of the fire was initially unknown.
