Nuria Vilanova: "Despite the uncertainty, there are many investment opportunities Ibero-America."

Despite the two-year-old pandemic that was exacerbated by the uncertain war in Ukraine, the major businessmen and experts of Ibero-America will gather next June 1 and 2, in what will be the V Edition of the CEAPI Congress. Under the slogan "Innovation and opportunities in times uncertainty", this event will bring together agents from Spain as well as other countries in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic).

These two days will see speakers and participants discuss the social role companies play in the transition towards a more sustainable society. A number of important figures from all walks of the political, business, and institutional worlds will also be present. Nuria Vilanova (CEAPI president) believes that, despite the economic difficulties (inflation and bottlenecks, crises of raw materials etc.), the economy is still in good shape. There are "many opportunities" for investment on both side of the Atlantic.

Vilanova hopes to emphasize the importance of companies when it comes investing in "for the impact" created by start-ups and businesses. Vilanova values analysis of the type of companies that invest, and above all the social impact these companies have, as a tool to transform society.

CEAPI's president admits that Ibero-America still lags in technological advancement, but that this allows for quicker incorporation into all new technologies. He also pointed out that Congress will debate "what can be the catalysts of change". These include the creation of companies with impact, technology, incorporation of women, and their leadership and entrepreneurship skills, or generational changes that contribute to "greater social conscience" as well as being "more innovative".

It refers to an important reality that is closely tied to the whole Ibero-American region, the agricultural world. Faced with the coming food crisis, if we can speed up production factors, it is also an opportunity to all of America and the world. It also highlights the efforts of agroindustrial companies far away from major cities.

Nuria Vilanova highlights that the Dominican Republic is hosting the fifth edition CEAPI to reflect the idea of "more Ibero-America". She says, "The evidence that it is organized on both sides of Atlantic" The organization's original idea was to have an event in Spain and one in Latin America for each edition.

This forum will examine the achievements of companies and what the future holds for countries. It will also discuss the challenges and opportunities that countries face.
