BRATISLAVA (Slovenia) -- On Friday, a train engine struck a stop passenger train in Slovakia, injuring many people. Police said that four of those injured were seriously.

The train was carrying around 100 passengers at the time of the accident, which took place near Vrutky in northern Russia.

A passenger suffering serious injuries was taken by helicopter to Martin's hospital.

It was not immediately possible to determine the full extent of the incident.
