Neurobiologist Martin Korte: What Deutsche Bahn delays could have to do with Long Covid

Professor Korte, you wrote this book in a very short time and worked on it from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. during your summer vacation. Why is the topic so important to you? I believe that Long Covid is very relevant for German society. For families. At work. Many people report sick again weeks after they have survived the actual corona infection. They suffer from fatigue, i.e. an extreme form of exhaustion, from concentration and memory disorders, have palpitations. These symptoms last 12 to 18 months, sometimes longer. In my opinion, the consequences of this are already noticeable in everyday life, but that's speculation, I can't back it up with data.
