The multinational Lactalis Nestlé celebrated this Monday at its Marchamalo plant the 50th anniversary of the first yogurt produced in Spain, in an act presided over by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, and the President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, among other authorities.

“This plant has been here growing. It started with ice cream, it has been growing and I do not rule out that it will continue to do so. If you plan to grow, know that you have land, employment subsidies and company subsidies," said Page, who joked about his short stature by ensuring that, "no matter how many yogurts" he eats, he will not grow more.

“I am very happy, because they are 50 years of happiness, with 50 more to come thanks to the professional work of this multinational, with a recognized workforce”, added the president of Castilla-La Mancha, praising “its capacity for resistance ».

Likewise, Page has announced that his Governing Council will shortly approve a line of aid worth six million euros to promote innovation in the marketing of agri-food companies in the autonomous community.
