Music: Giesinger and Schulte: We treated each other

Friends pop singers Max Giesinger (34, "80 million") and Michael Schulte (32, "You Let Me Walk Alone") supported each other in difficult times. "We have also experienced some setbacks together, for example being forgotten a year after the casting show," said Giesinger of the German Press Agency. "Fewer people came to the tour and we weren't recognized on the street anymore."

Schulte and he would have treated each other in the morning while playing table tennis. "One day our time will come," they would have said to themselves. "We just have to keep at it, then it will be fine," said Giesinger, who comes from Waldbronn in Baden. That was "somehow good and important".

Giesinger and Schulte were in the final of the show "The Voice of Germany" ten years ago and made their breakthrough a few years later. The musicians have been living together in shared apartments for a while, and on Friday they released their first single together entitled "More To This Life".

The idea for this came about at the beginning of the year. "We always waited for the right time and now it has come. The song came about relatively quickly and we both thought it was pretty awesome right away," said Schulte.
