The Sûreté du Québec has announced that it has taken responsibility for the investigation into the murder of a 28-year-old man committed last weekend in Laval, because it is linked to organized crime.

Junior Lemoyne Printemps was killed in his vehicle on Sunday around 1:30 a.m. when he had just left a family celebration in the Chomedey district.
Three other people in the car were shot and injured, including a 14-year-old boy.
“Certain information gathered by investigators suggests that this event could be linked to members of organized crime,” the Sûreté du Québec said in a statement.
Remember that two other shootings took place in Laval during the two days following this murder.
On Thursday, Laval police conducted two searches and arrested a suspect who could be linked to this series of violent events.
