Happy Birthday Mom. An Auchan supermarket decided to promote a vacuum cleaner in celebration of Mother's Day. This marketing campaign caused a negative buzz on social media, as a result of a Twitter report by a client. "Hello Auchan France. "To inform you, today is May 26, 2022," she wrote ironically while posting the promotion picture. The Auchan store, which is located in Orleans (Loiret), was called "sexist", misogynist, "cheesy", or "retrograde".

Another internet user reported a Carrefour promotion for vacuum cleaners. The photo shows Dyson vacuum cleaners from Dyson brands, which are displayed on shelves with a "Shocking price" sign and accompanied by a "Happy Mother's Day” sign. Carrefour asked Carrefour for information about the location of the sign used in the promotion after Carrefour sent this tweet. "Hello, can you please tell us the name of this store? Carrefour replied, "We thank you in advance and wish you a pleasant day."

This vacuum cleaner will be installed at the event.

Auchan France offered its apology to the customer, saying: "Our apologies for any hurt caused, we had no ulterior motives when installing this gondola. Auchan France believes in diversity, and will install the vacuum cleaner at our store on Father's Day.
