When turning onto her own property, a 75-year-old woman in Hille (Minden-Lübbecke district) lost control of her car and crashed into the wall of her house. According to police on Friday, her husband was sitting in the front passenger seat with groceries on his lap. When they threatened to slip out of his hand, the woman wanted to help, but lost control of the electric car and crashed the car into the wall of the house.

The damaged wall was secured by the fire brigade after the accident on Wednesday evening. The car was pulled out of the front of the house and switched off to be safe. A structural engineer was also on duty, the house remained habitable. The couple, who remained unharmed, were able to re-enter the house afterwards.
