Men's fashion: the halfpipe becomes a catwalk: why so many designers are inspired by skateboards

The British fashion designer Jonathan W. Anderson has just taken the credo "From Half-Pipe to Runway" very literally. Anderson, 38, who also designs for the Spanish luxury house Loewe, showed knitted sweaters with slits on the front, in which the parts of broken boards were stuck, for his own label JW Anderson in London in mid-June. Not suitable for everyday use, but everything is in the picture: Men's fashion is really into skateboarding.
