The former Montreal Canadiens began his evening's work at the end of the first period, when he received a relay from Jaccob Slavin near Jeremy Swayman's net, before feeding Teuvo Teravainen, who only had to redirect the puck.

However, it was in the middle engagement that Domi particularly stood out. He first collected a puck near the Bruins net, before lodging it behind Swayman. A few minutes later, Teravainen returned the favor to Domi, helping to score his second goal of the match. The 27-year-old managed this performance despite being the fourth least used forward by head coach Rod Brind'Amour, who was on the ice for 12 min 55 s.

Domi, who had only two points in six games before this duel, finally completed his series with a total of five points.

Handcuffed offensively, the stars of the Bruins were rather discreet in this ultimate game.

Jake DeBrusk scored the visitors' first goal early in the second period. David Pastrnak also beat Antti Raanta, with just over 20 seconds left in regulation time. They attempted a final attack afterwards, but Raanta and the Hurricanes closed the door.

The masked man also repelled 27 of 29 opposing shots in the victory, while his vis-à-vis, Swayman, yielded three times out of 31 attempts.

The Hurricanes will know the identity of their next opponent on Sunday, who will face the winner of the seventh and final game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New York Rangers.
