Indeed, according to information that has been circulating for several years, Henry Cavill may not return to his Superman costume and the DC franchise could be completely rebooted.

According to the Cosmicbook site, a total Superman reboot could be in the works, under the direction of J.J. Abrams (Star Wars 7 and 9). It would seem in particular that the filmmaker is looking for another interpreter of the man of steel, younger than Henry Cavill. The Batman played by Ben Affleck is already giving way to Robert Pattinson in Matt Reeves' future film, while Gal Gadot seems ready to continue wearing Wonder Woman's outfit in the next films of the saga.
