The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, reported this Monday that he will not attend the Summit of the Americas because the host, the United States, did not invite all the governments of the region.

"I am not going to the summit because not all the countries of the Americas are invited and I believe in the need to change the policy that has been imposed for centuries, exclusion," said the president, adding that Mexico will be represented by the Foreign Minister, Marcelo Ebrard, at the summit, which begins this Monday in Los Angeles.
