The RTL dance show "Let's Dance" had the usual high ratings at the start of the 16th season. According to official AGF data, the first edition attracted an average of 3.97 million people to the screen. At 8:15 p.m., this corresponded to a market share of 15.9 percent. In the target group aged 14 to 49, it was even the winner of the day: Around 1.30 million viewers tuned in, which meant a market share of 22.7 percent.

For comparison: At the start last year, there were 1.39 million people in this group, a market share of 21.3 percent at the time. In total, there were an average of 4.38 million in 2022, which corresponded to a market share of 16.1 percent.

In the new season, the jury consisting of Joachim Llambi (58), Motsi Mabuse (41) and Jorge González (55) again rated 14 dance couples, each jury member can award 1 to 10 points. Model Anna Ermakova (22) and her professional dance partner Valentin Lusin (35) scored 23 points on Friday evening, the highest rating so far. This gave them a direct ticket for the next edition, which protects them from being eliminated. The 22-year-old daughter of Boris Becker (55) is also the youngest participant in the field.

Ex-Bachelorette Sharon Battiste (31) and actress Chryssanthi Kavazi (34) were rewarded for their performances with 19 points each. Comedian Abdelkarim (41) and influencer Julia Beautx (23) were among the disappointments at the start.

At the start of the "Let's Dance" season, the popular "heute-show" also bit its teeth in terms of ratings. Only 3.28 million viewers saw the ZDF satire, which corresponded to a market share of 14.2 percent. Only 830,000 people between the ages of 14 and 49 tuned in, ie 12.3 percent market share in the target group.
