The plenary session of the León City Council has unanimously approved this Monday by all the political groups the proposals to award two gold medals for the city of León, the highest distinction awarded by the Consistory, to the National Police Corps and the Civil Guard.

The mayor of León, José Antonio Diez, has wanted to value "the commitment and dedication" that the women and men that make up both bodies with the Leonese society and has also highlighted their commendable work during the coronavirus pandemic.

«In March 2020, his traditional work had to be expanded due to the health and social crisis derived from the cases of the Covid coronavirus.
