Kaiserslautern: Two men pretend to be in distress - caught in the act

On Monday afternoon, two scammers tried to trick drivers at the Enkenbach-Alsenborn motorway exit (Kaiserslautern district). The two 37 and 23-year-old men were standing at the exit of the A6 and, according to the police, wanted to get the cash of the road users by simulating an emergency.

The men residing abroad said they had run out of food and fuel to drive home. However, according to the police, both were not true. A supposed gold ring was offered in exchange for cash. During the act, the duo was caught by a civil patrol. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against both men.
