The US president, Joe Biden, 79, fell this Saturday while trying to get off his Delaware bike, where he is resting for the weekend, but he got up quickly and assured that he is "fine", reports AFP.

Biden fell during a morning bike ride with his wife Jill in Rehoboth Beach, a town near the sea where he normally spends his summer weekends.

The president stopped to speak to reporters and others waiting for him but got his foot out the wrong way and fell on his side. "I'm fine," said Biden, who quickly sat up.
