The Museum of Almeria and Almeria's Provincial Archive celebrate International Archives Day. This day is celebrated with a special program that brings citizens closer to their document collections and invites document managers to reflect on the stories that these documents tell. This year's edition, which is called "We are Archives", includes guided tours, conferences and open days. It also features dramatized visits, audiovisual projections, concerts, and other activities. The AGA and the Archives Service of Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage organized a conference on "The digitization of archives" to discuss the anniversary.

The Museum of Almeria is hosting the conference "Introduction To the Andalusian Intellectual Legacy" by Jorge Lirola Delgado. It will take place on Thursday, June 9th at 7:00 pm. The Provincial Historical Archive of Almeria will conduct a guided tour at 11:00 am. This is to promote the importance of archives that are linked to research and preservation of historical and culture memory as well as transparent access to public information.
