In Patriots' offseason practices, Mac Jones shows improvement in his deep passing

While Patriots quarterback Mac Jones performed well as a rookie, Jones' deep passing was not up to par. Jones wasn't very accurate in throwing downfield and that was a problem for the Patriots.

"We want the ability to do what we want at any time. Jones stated that Jones wanted to offer a bit of variety.

This season will see a change in the Patriots' offense. Josh McDaniels, the Patriots' long-serving offensive coordinator, has left to take over as Raiders head coach. New England is still not clear on who will serve as offensive coordinator. It will be a significant improvement for the offense if Jones can hit passes downfield consistently in 2022, something he was not able to do in 2021.
