She called herself "Anna Delvey", pretended to be an heiress to millions and lived in luxury. For four years, she swindled banks, hotels and friends out of a total of more than $275,000 for her glittering life. Anna Sorokin, born in Russia, grew up in Germany, was sentenced to several years in prison in the USA and is world famous, her life was filmed as a Netflix series ("Inventing Anna"). Most recently she was in prison because of an expired visa, and she appealed several times against being deported to Germany. Now she is free. The star met her in an apartment in Manhattan, where she spends the first few hours after being released under house arrest.
