The Holapueblo platform, an alliance of the Red Eléctrica Group, IKEA and AlmaNatura, begins the search for new residents and businesses willing to settle in one of the 20 municipalities of Castilla-La Mancha that participate in its third edition.

The 20 municipalities are spread over the five provinces. Thus, in Albacete, Ayna and Férez participate; in Ciudad Real they do Almedina, El Hoyo de Mestanza, San Benito, Villamayor de Calatrava and Villar del Pozo; in Cuenca, Cardenete, Castillo de Garcimuñoz, Mira, Tragacete, Beteta, El Hito, Huélamo and Villar de Domingo García; in Guadalajara, Alcocer, Mandayona, Villanueva de Alcorón and Arbancón, and in Toledo, Navamorcuende. They all meet the minimum conditions to welcome a new population: housing supply, nearby public services such as a school and health center, and Internet connection, among others.

The campaign extends to other municipalities such as Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla y León, the Valencian Community, the Foral Community of Navarra and Extremadura and Galicia.

Municipalities meet minimum conditions to welcome new population: housing supply, nearby public services such as school and health center, Internet connection, among others. Half are towns that have previously participated and, among them, some have obtained excellent results, such as Tragacete (Cuenca), where there are already five families installed.

People interested in living and undertaking in one of these towns receive mentoring on their business idea, advice on the locality that best fits their vital and entrepreneurial project and are accompanied throughout the process of changing their lives.

In addition, the Holapueblo initiative has supported 70 entrepreneurs to date, of which 28 have already started a new life in rural areas with their families. Most of them are couples between 41 and 50 years old and with children, and the type of business created is family-based and 60% is linked to the service sector.

As a novelty in this edition, Holapueblo also offers support to people who want to live in rural areas but work as employees. To do this, it will facilitate the hiring of unemployed people in small companies in the participating municipalities that have vacant positions, accompanying them through a personalized job placement itinerary.

Likewise, the entrepreneurial projects born within Holapueblo have Correos Market at their disposal, while Triodos Bank is going to launch a call for matchfunding with a fund of 10,000 euros to promote the creation and consolidation of businesses.

The call will be managed by the Triodos Foundation, which will make its crowdfunding platform available to entrepreneurs so that the selected initiatives can receive contributions from citizens, which will be doubled by the fund of the call. This financial support will be complemented with training pills on entrepreneurship.

For its part, Reale Seguros makes rental protection insurance with guarantees available to owners of closed homes. Likewise, IKEA has opened a call for the revitalization of municipal spaces that serve to revitalize the population, in which two winning projects will be selected to be designed and planned. Registration can be done on the website holapueblo.com/inscribete/emprendedores.
