Four people were injured when two vehicles collided on a country road near Neu-Anspach (Hochtaunuskreis) on Saturday. Two women aged 54 and 59 in a car suffered serious injuries, police said. One of them was trapped in the car and was not always conscious. Two men aged 59 and 22 in a van were slightly injured.

All four were taken to hospitals. A rescue helicopter was also deployed. The driver of the van apparently overlooked the car when turning, according to the police. An expert is to examine the circumstances.
