Here are the new Pixel 6a and Buds Pro

The Google I/O event is an opportunity for the giant Alphabet to present its new digital products and services. As the event covers very wide, let's focus on these two very popular products not only in our market, but also in that of the whole planet, well almost.

The Pixel A series corresponds to the mid-range of the group's phones. It brings together most of the functions without increasing its price with those that are generally reserved for high-end devices or with more expensive materials.

Its price: $599

Offered in Pebble, Charcoal, and Sage colors, the Pixel 6a retains its iconic photo mod bar.

We discover for this 2022 version features that were reserved for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, ranging from the camera to voice recognition and advanced security.

The photo module includes two cameras on the back of the device: a wide-angle and an ultra wide-angle. The quality of the Pixel 6a's front camera is also the same as on the Pixel 6.

Google incorporates features like Real Tone which offers better skin color calibration. Night Vision mode allows for low-light shots, while Magic Eraser erases unwanted objects or people in your photos. “This feature has also been improved to allow you to change the color of distracting objects in your photos. With a single gesture, the colors and shadows blend naturally into the decor. The real subject of the photo is thus highlighted, as it should be.”

The Pixel 6a is equipped with the same voice recognition features as the Pixel 6 Pro, namely Recorder, Instant Captions and Instant Translation.

Thanks to the in-house Tensor chip, Google promises a smooth and responsive experience, unique to Pixel, without compromising on battery life; like full-day battery life, up to 72 hours in ultra battery saver mode.

Still with this Tensor, the Pixel 6a shares the same security architecture as the Pixel 6 Pro, with the integration of our dedicated Titan M2 security chip to protect your personal data.

In Canada, the Pixel 6a will be available for pre-order from July 21, 2022 at the recommended retail price of $599 and in stores from July 28.

Packed with noise cancellation, these Buds Pro Bluetooth earbuds promise rich, immersive sound.

This active noise cancellation is based on speakers and a 6-core audio chip that runs the algorithms developed by sound engineers at Google in real time.

This noise canceling feature also applies in phone calls to cut out noises, such as the wind. In general, noise cancellation works well for constant sounds; wind, rolling in a car, or noise in an airplane.

Of course, these Buds Pro are compatible with the Google voice assistant, “Hey Google” with which you can request a walking route or real-time translation in 40 languages

Later this year, Pixel Buds Pro will also support spatial audio to make watching a movie or TV show on compatible Pixel smartphones an even more immersive experience, Google promises.

Available in four colors, Google advertises that they can work all day.

In Canada, Pixel Buds Pro will be available to pre-order on July 21 for an MSRP of $259.
