Hendaye firefighters rescued a sailing boat in distress at sea on Saturday, May 28th, 2022. The Etel Regional Surveillance and Rescue Center, Cross Etel, alerted them.

The boat, which was being sailed at the Franco-Spanish border and threatened to sink, sustained severe damage. The SNSM and firefighters were able to rescue the sailboat from the port of Sokoburu, Hendaye. The sailboat's occupant was safely brought to shore.
