The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has notified a total of 4,255 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last update in the Valencian Community. The new cases by province are 594 in Castellón (176,057 in total), 1,305 in Alicante (492,531 in total) and 2,356 in Valencia (767,034 in total).

Of these, 1,822 are from people over sixty years of age. By provinces: 308 from Castellón, 571 from Alicante and 943 from Valencia.

Valencian hospitals currently have 699 people admitted, 32 of them in the ICU: 106 in the province of Castellón, 5 in the ICU; 233 in the province of Alicante, 10 of them in the ICU; and 360 in the province of Valencia, 17 in the ICU.

Eighteen coronavirus deaths have been reported since the last update, all within the last seven days. They are 8 women, between 66 and 94 years old, and 10 men between 71 and 93 years old. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 9,391: 1,101 in the province of Castellón, 3,575 in Alicante and 4,733 in Valencia.
