Numerous children and adults have built two Lego ramps from thousands of colorful Lego bricks, which make shops in Hamburg-Horn easier to reach, even with walkers and wheelchairs. In Hamburg, co-organizer Kendra Eckhorst was unable to say exactly how many stones were used.

"We definitely got a lot of stone donations." And that's a good thing, because you need a lot of stones.

On Tuesday afternoon, the first of the two colourful, two-part ramps for more accessibility was placed in front of a flower shop. The ramps, which are up to ten centimeters high, were made and glued together over several days. The initiative "Horn - simply for everyone" would like to hand over the second ramp at the end of April.

Many cities already have ramps made of colorful Lego bricks. They not only help to be able to visit the shops without hurdles. They are also an eye-catcher and create awareness for the everyday problems of people with disabilities.
