There was a fire in a garage in the Groß-Gerau district on Tuesday evening. According to initial estimates, the fire in the Nauheim community caused property damage of tens of thousands of euros, as the police announced on Wednesday morning. Nobody got hurt. A tenant of the garage accidentally noticed the fire and alerted the fire brigade, who were able to extinguish the fire quickly. Among other things, power tools and construction equipment were stored in the garage, which were either damaged or destroyed. According to the police and fire brigade, a technical defect in one of the devices could have been the cause of the fire.
