Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) is putting pressure on the re-elected mayor of Tübingen, Boris Palmer, to become a full member of the Greens again soon. Palmer should be "quickly accepted into the party with full membership rights," said Kretschmann on Tuesday evening on the ARD program "Maischberger". Palmer's membership in the Greens is suspended because of arguments about breaking taboos and allegations of racism.
The state chairmen plan to meet with Palmer in the near future. However, on the left wing to the south-west there is resistance to a more rapid rapprochement.
