Spring weather at Christmas: Temperatures of up to 14 degrees determined the weather on Christmas Day in Bavaria. Even the sun came out more and more often after the past few days. However, only in the south - in northern Bavaria it remained gray and cloudy. With the rain, the wind also decreased in the lowlands.

The German Weather Service (DWD) only expected stormy gusts on the crests and on the peaks of the Alps and the Bavarian Forest. The temperatures over the holidays are "unusually mild" there, too, as the Bavarian avalanche warning service announced. On Christmas Eve, only five centimeters of fresh snow fell even on the highest peaks.
