GDL strike: Where you can find out whether your train is running today or is canceled

Train drivers once again need good nerves: the GDL has announced new strikes. Accordingly, freight traffic will be on strike from Wednesday, March 6th at 6 p.m. and passenger traffic will be on strike from the following night on Thursday at 2 a.m. The strike is expected to last 35 hours. It could just be the start. GDL boss Claus Weselksy announced "wave strikes" to Stern - several work stoppages in quick succession. Many passengers now have to improvise or switch to other means of transport. Trains belonging to the railway's competitors are not going on strike, but they can still be affected by the industrial action.

On the website bahn.de/aktuell, the railway usually provides information about which trains are (expected) to run despite the strike. The site always contains the latest traffic reports. In addition, the travel information on the website and in the “DB Navigator” app shows whether a train is running or canceled.

The company has set up a special number that is used during strikes. The hotline, available at 08000 - 996633, is intended specifically for customers affected by the strike.
