The general secretary of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has warned that her party does not set "any deadline" for the renewal of the Judicial Power Council, despite the fact that the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, had proposed reaching an agreement to this before June 12.

"This is not subject to any date," said Gamarra, in an interview with Vozpópuli published this Saturday, while the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, announced this Friday that he will present a proposal for the "regeneration" of the CGPJ and opted to resume negotiations after the Andalusian elections on June 19.

In this regard, Gamarra has stressed that the PP is now in a "very important" phase prior to an agreement for the renewal, that of "listening to all organizations and judges and prosecutors to learn first-hand what their vision is" .

"When we finish these conversations, it will be when we address the issues with the PSOE," he also advanced in the interview, collected by Europa Press.

On the other hand, he has referred to the crisis due to the 'Pegasus case' and has criticized the fact that the Government gave a press conference informing about the espionage on the cell phones of Sánchez and the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, to "generate uncertainty" and "feed all kinds of speculation".

In this regard, he has assured that informing the government about the espionage is a "smokescreen" to "try to justify the delivery of the head of (the former director of the CNI) Paz Esteban to the independence movement." In this sense, she defends the "legality" of the CNI's investigations of people from the independence movement.

"This is absolutely serious. In no democracy does one expect its president to be able to weaken the intelligence services in order to find a justification for handing over a scapegoat to independence," he added.

Likewise, he has shown his concern about what information was stolen from the cell phone of the President of the Government and what consequences this has. "How does the stolen information affect national security? With that information that someone has, is the President of the Government able to continue being so or is he being the object of some kind of blackmail?" Gamarra also questioned.

On the other hand, Gamarra has trusted that the PP candidate in the Andalusian elections, the current president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, will revalidate the position with a "sufficient majority". At the national level, he believes that this will not specifically mean the calling of elections: "Sánchez will hold out until the last minute."

"Bearing in mind that his investiture partners will never be better off with a president than with Sánchez, what is clear is that they will keep him until the last minute and, with the way he governs, he will stay until the last minute. ", has added.
