Freudenberg: Back to normal lessons in the school of the killed Luise

At the school of the killed twelve-year-old Luise in Freudenberg near Siegen (North Rhine-Westphalia), regular classes took place on Thursday for the first time since the crime. "Teaching is going according to plan," said a spokesman for the Arnsberg district government. However, school psychologists are still on site to support students and teachers.

There is also no compulsion for the classes to go through the subject matter according to the curriculum. The spokesman said that where students still want to have conversations, regular classes are at the back of the agenda.

For three days, students and teachers took the time to talk and mourn the crime over the weekend. According to experts, it now makes sense to return to normal school operations.

Twelve-year-old Luise was killed on Saturday in a forest on the border of Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia with numerous knife wounds. Two girls, aged 12 and 13, confessed to the crime.
