Forecast: Weather in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland: stormy but mild

At the start of the week, another storm will sweep across Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. However, the current also carries mild sea air, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Monday. Accordingly, people can look forward to temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in the afternoon at the beginning of the week. However, it is expected to be stormy and rainy. According to the forecast, there will be strong to stormy gusts during the day. Strong thunderstorms are also occasionally possible - especially in Saarland and in the Palatinate.

In the night to Tuesday, the temperatures drop to 9 to 6 degrees - it should then - like during the day - continue to rain for the time being with heavy clouds. According to the DWD, there may only be some loosening during the course of the day. The temperatures should reach a maximum of between 9 and 12 degrees. Stormy gusts may also continue. On Wednesday night, the DWD expects snow, which is expected to turn into rain and sleet over the course of the day.
