The third division football club SV Meppen, which is threatened with relegation, released Stefan Krämer from his duties as head coach immediately after the 2:3 home defeat against Hallesche FC on Saturday. Assistant trainer Benjamin Duray will lead the upcoming training sessions until a replacement is made. Krämer succeeded Rico Schmitt in July 2022.

With 20 points from 25 games, Meppen is in last place in the 3rd division. The team lost to fellow competitor Halle (24 points) after Timur Gayret (90.4) conceded a goal in added time. On the Meppen side, David Vogt (41st) received a yellow-red card for repeated foul play.
